CHILDREN’S DANCE
WORKSHOP
Our children's dance workshops are very
popular. We teach the children disco, rock ‘n roll, free
style dance and backing/chart dance. Competition classes for disco
teams, solos, and pairs, are also taught.
We hold a dance workshop for children aged
under 16 years on someSaturdays between 10.30am and 1pm and on
Tuesdays 4pm till 6pm. 5yrs to 16yrs Freestyle and Backing

Workshop
The workshops commence with registration
where parents register each child into the studio then leave them
to enjoy their class. We then commence a fun warm up
session. The children are taught dance routines to particular
pieces of music – these are the routines each child will perform
for their assessments, should they wish to take them. The
children are then allowed to attend the Dance Troop Workshops if
they work hard enough. We encourage each child to be creative
and imaginative whilst in our care.
We have a small tuck shop for their short
break and I must instruct parents that NO foods or drinks are
to be brought into the Studio at any time. We also have a
NO chewing gum policy in the studio and we ask the children to
switch off their mobile telephones whilst dancing.
We have a Canadian maple sprung dance floor,
so your child's ankles, legs and muscles are not jarred in our
studio.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Your child must feel comfortable in the
studio so it is best to let them wear what they choose.
Please don’t allow new or expensive clothing to be worn as they
usually take off their shoes and slide along the floor. Your
child will not be allowed to dance in shoes or boots with heels, it
is very easy to damage ankles and feet. Trainers and track
suits are great. Danceology uniforms are available to
purchase at the studio. Please discourage your child from
wearing jeans, these are not ideal to dance in.
PRICE: £10 each child for the morning on
Saturdays and £7 on Tuesdays
