BALLROOM AND LATIN AMERICAN

Ballroom and Latin dancing does not get any
better, over a decade of understanding all the differences of
peoples learning needs has created a unique style of teaching.
A group class can feel like a private lesson as each
couple is nurtured at their own speed and needs. There is no
need to get frustrated if you are quick to learn and
alternatively there is no need to fear holding a class back.
You can relax and enjoy the experience of learning and
expressing your dance moves at your own pace.
If you think of people shuffling around the
floor, all doing the same thing, then you are really in for a
surprise. If you think of Strictly Come Dancing on TV, you
will be more nearer the style of this class. This class is
for couples who want to spend time together, to learn new and
exciting dance routines and styles and to keep fit.
As a couple you will learn ten different
dance styles, five ballroom and five Latin American. The
ballroom dances are Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango and Viennese
Waltz; The Latin American dances are Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba,
Paso Doble and Jive (also Salsa).
All the dances commence with learning the
basics but quickly progress on to exciting and sometimes demanding,
frustrating variations. You are taught as a couple, rather
than a class – this means you can progress quicker or slower and
have no pressure in waiting for or keeping up with the rest of the
class. We teach you to your abilities and needs rather than
the group needs. The class is very relaxed and is based on
fun as well as technique. The music and routines are great
and you will have a good work-out. Unfortunately you do need
a partner for this class. You can choose the right class for
you whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced dance
couple.
Both Sharon and Kenny are your teachers in
these classes, both have the greatest experience for all
your dancing
needs.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Please ladies do not wear stiletto
heels. If you have dance shoes then by all means please wear them, they are so much
better for your foot protection. Sensible, comfortable heels are a must, and
men shoes rather than work type boots.
